Dutch Lemon Drink ‘Kwast’

This classic Dutch drink used to be a home remedy against the cold and would strengthen the immune system. During the winter and autumn season, this drink was very popular on the ice skating rink. Nowadays, fresh ginger tea is one of the most popular drinks. However I love the addition of lemon juice, so I made the classic Kwast with some slices of ginger! Preferably some booze during the cold days? Make a ‘Grog’-drink by adding a shot of Dutch Jenever!
