Dutch 'Hutspot'

Equipment

  • 1 Cooking Pot
  • Potato Masher
  • Peeler

Ingredients

  • 500 gram Onions
  • 500 gram Carrots
  • 1 kilo Floury Potatoes
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Stock Cube vegetables
  • 150 ml Milk plant-based
  • 50 gram Butter plant-based
  • Spicy Mustard

Serve with..

  • Celery Leaves

Instructions

Preparations

  • Peel the outer skin of the onions, chop them in half and then in half rings. Peel the carrots and potatoes and chop in 3cm (1,2 inch) pieces.
  • Add onions, carrots, the stock cube, bay leaves and floury potatoes to a cooking pot.

Cooking

  • Cover with water and bring to a boil. Let it cook for about 20-30 minutes.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, you can drain them. Add them back into the cooking pot.
  • Pour-in 150ml milk and add 50 gram of butter. Mash everything and season with spicy mustard, chopped celery leaves, salt & pepper.
