Grandma's Barley in Berry Juice

Ingredients

  • 50 gram Barley
  • 250 ml Water
  • 250 ml Berry Juice
  • 2 tbsp Red Currants
  • ½ Lemon
  • 50 gram Sugar
  • 100 gram Raisins
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Star Anise

Instructions

  • Cook the barley in the water for 30 minutes.
  • Add the berrie juice, sugar, peel and juice of the lemon, raisins, the cinnamon and anise. Cook for another 30 minutes.
  • Serve with the fresh red currants.
