Mixed Mushrooms on Toast

During autumn mixed mushrooms are a gift! I love the savory flavor of the mushrooms. They taste great with some butter & herbs. When you have some fresh herbs in-house, you can mix those with olive oil to make a vegan herb oil.

Mushrooms on Toast

Servings 2 portions
Prep Time 10 minutes


  • Frying Pan
  • Toaster


  • 2 slices Bread
  • 3 tbsp Vegan Pesto or herb oil
  • 30 gram Butter
  • 200 gram Mixed Mushrooms
  • Rosemary
  • Chiliflakes


  • Toast the slices of bread in the toaster.
  • Cook the mushrooms in the frying pan with some butter and rosemary. When the mushrooms are golden brown, they are done. This will take about 5 minutes.
  • Spread some (vegan) pesto or herb oil on the toast and add the hot mushrooms. Sprinkle some sea salt flakes and chili flakes on top to finish it. Enjoy!
